Layne Gardner

I was born and raised in the Peace River region. This is home. It always has been.

As a lifelong resident of the Peace Country, I bring deep local knowledge and long-standing relationships to every real estate transaction. I understand the communities, the rural markets, the acreage lifestyle, and the economic drivers that shape Peace River real estate.

After graduating from Grimshaw Jr./Sr. High School, I studied at the University of Alberta and completed my Bachelor of Management degree at the University of Lethbridge. I returned home to work in my family’s business, Peace River Chrysler, where I held senior management roles before transitioning into real estate.

I joined RE/MAX Northern Realty in 2008 and have worked full-time in Peace River real estate since 2013.

In 2025, I ranked #41 in RE/MAX Western Canada’s Top 100 and #35 for the month of December. I have also earned the RE/MAX 100% Club, Platinum Club, Chairman’s Club, Hall of Fame, and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

I hold both the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) and Accredited Commercial Professional (ACP) designations, allowing me to serve residential, acreage, rural, and commercial clients across Peace River and the surrounding region.

Beyond real estate, I am actively involved in economic development and business leadership in the Peace Region. I currently serve as President of the Peace River & District Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Peace River Economic Development Committee, and sit on the Northern Sunrise County Economic Development Committee. I was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Alberta Chamber of Commerce and previously served as President of the Rotary Club of Peace River.

These roles give me direct insight into regional growth, infrastructure development, business expansion, and economic trends — perspective that directly benefits my clients when pricing, marketing, and negotiating real estate in Peace River and the surrounding region.

My wife, Allison, owns Fern’s Greenhouse and Mercantile, and together we are raising our two children in the same community that shaped us.
